BENTACIDE 250EC Insecticide. 5L. Residual & Contact Control of Cockroaches & Mosquito Larvae

Bentacide 250 EC is a pyrethroid formulation Cypermethrin suitable for use as a space-spray concentrate by the professional user and the pest control industrial against public health pests.

Bentacide 250 EC can be used either for thermal fogging or in out-door Ultra Low Volume (ULV) treatments. For indoor thermal fogging use, it is equally efficient when dilute with oil or water which can result in considerable cost benefits. It also can be used to control mosquitoes breeding in the stagnant water.

Method of Application

For indoor house-to-house and outdoor thermal fogging operations against mosquitoes and flies, Bentacide 250 EC should be diluted 1:100 i.e. 10 ml of product dilutes to one litre with either diesel, kerosene or water to give a diluted concentration of 0.25% Cypermethrin, the main active ingredient. The product should be applied through a portable thermal fogger until the house is well filled with fog. Generally one litre per 2,000 m3 is required.

For indoor ULV operations dilute Bentacide 250 EC1:20 i.e. 50ml of the product diluted to one litre with water applies through a ULV machine such as a Curtis-Dyna Cyclone ULV at one litre diluted insecticide per hectare.

For controlling mosquitoes breeding in stagnant water, Bentacide should be diluted 1:200 i.e. 5ml of product to one litre of AMO or water to give a two prompt control. It can be applied with a knapsack sprayer or a portable hand pump to give an even coverage over the stagnant water.

Application of insecticide either by thermal fogging or ULV equipment should be timed correctly to achieve optimum result. Flying insects have peak flight activity times which should be identified so that treatment can coincide with the maximum number of insects at the location to be treated.
